The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead (plant level) directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of critical EHS processes, programs, and procedures to achieve goals, objectives, and continuous improvement related to safety, the environment and health at both the asphalt and roofing plants (the site).
The EHS Lead has the responsibility to engage the joint roofing and asphalt plants leadership teams to ensure environmental, safety and health excellence, as well as provide information and guidance for activities relating to the site-wide EHS objectives and to ensure that EHS site goals are aligned with relevant business unit and corporate EHS goals.
The EHS Lead works in a team environment where accountability for injury/illness prevention, EHS compliance assurance and asset protection is incumbent on both the leadership team and the individual.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety or Environmental field is essential
- Certification in environmental, health, and or safety is Essential
- Applied knowledge of environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations are essential
- Strong environmental background, as well as safety is required
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for global OCV Non-Woven reporting and support of EHS initiatives.
- Compile and communicate monthly safety and environmental results using Medgate, MSDS Vault and Environmental Scorecard spreadsheets
- Lead consistent implementation of OC safety program initiatives such as LTT, Arc Flash Studies, PPE, BBS, etc.
- Coordinate with OC Occupational Hygiene/Environmental Partners industrial hygiene sampling, environmental/safety audits and representing the business on the environmental and safety networks.
- Coordinate and track progress made with SAFE Tool Gap Closure plans and quarterly report updates.
- Lead train-the-trainer sessions during rollout of key OC safety programs.
- Represent Non-Wovens group on OCV Safety and Environmental Issues and in network meetings.
- Facilitate monthly Glass Mat & Veil Line Safety Meetings and Initiatives
- Maintain Glass Mat Safety Page on OC Safety Page
- Work with OCV Global Safety Leader on VPP Star application and achievement for Non-Woven plants
- Lead and/or participate in safety kaizen events for business
- Support plants during both internal and external audits and inspections from OC Corporate Audit Group or any regulatory agency (OSHA, EPA, others).Participate in injury review calls hosted by plants and root cause analysis investigations to capture lessons learned and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.

Division Director Environmental, Health & Safety - American Red Cross
This position can be located in anywhere within the South Central Division (Little Rock, Nashville, Wichita, Dallas, Tulsa or St. Louis).
Job Summary:
Responsible for the overall development and management of all facets of the Biomedical Division Environmental, Health & Safety Department (EHS). Responsible for the administrative and budgetary aspects of EHS across the division. Develop and implement strategies for the EHS division to provide a safe and fiscally responsible workplace. Work with division leadership to develop goals and objectives that relate to Biomedical Services strategic priorities. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive image of American Red Cross Blood Services (ARCBS).
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Major Responsibilities:
Work with Senior Director Operations Support, Biomedical Services Headquarters Environmental, Health & Safety Division (BHQ EHS), Division Claims Manager, and Safety Officers to develop and manage all safety and DOT programs, policies and other projects. Attend meetings with BHQ EHS Division and other Divisional EHS Directors to facilitate the standardization of the Safety Management System throughout Biomedical Services.
Management, oversight, and compliance responsibility for the division EHS Management Program including, but not limited to, development and implementation of policies and procedures, maintaining regulatory compliance, monitoring programs and procedures, and broad oversight of the regional Safety Committees.
Responsible for the management of the division/region EHS staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success.
Ensure the development, approval and implementation of divisional objectives that efficiently and effectively support the strategic objectives of the American Red Cross and the division.
Analyze adverse safety trends to develop and implement resources to reduce cost and enhance good safety behavior throughout the regional boundaries.
Monitor all division workers' compensation, general liability and auto liability trending to promptly identify emerging issues, and initiate prompt corrective action.
Develop, manage and support safety training programs for Education trainers to effectively deliver across the regional boundaries.
Responsible for overall management and oversight of the division and regional Department of Transportation (DOT) Program to include policies & procedures and compliance.
Oversight management of the region Injury & Accident Program to include Workers' Compensation, General Liability and Vehicle Accident claims. Ensure efficient documentation, submission and management of claims.
Improve and enhance safety customer service performance across the division, coordinating all appropriate divisional activities to achieve this goal.
Provide strategic and long-range planning for the division related to environmental, health and safety goals and objectives.
Liaison with local branch of National Safety Council and the BHQ EHS division.
Perform other related duties as necessary.
Scope:
Directly supervise the Safety Officers and other division EHS staff. Lead regular evaluation meetings with direct reports to monitor operations performance and ensure the standardization and centralization of support for a divisional approach. Compile and provide monthly divisional EHS report for senior management review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field, such as Safety Management and Occupational Health. Minimum seven to ten years related safety/risk management work experience with OSHA and other safety regulatory agencies, including five years of managerial experience. Practical skills and knowledge of safety rules and regulations and previous management of safety program required. Five years supervisory experience required. Computer proficiency required. Project management as well as excellent communications and organizational skills required.
Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds of weight; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces. Work with a variety of tools and equipment.

Safety Intern/Coordinator
Part Time, approx 30-32 hours per week - pay range $15 -$16 per hour, no benefits.
Prefer Safety Education, Associate or BS. Will consider on-the-job safety experience in lieu of education.
Job duties:
- Frequent premises walk-throughs, and audits, making sure that safety policies are being followed.
- Accident & incident investigations, making sure that the root cause is determined and making recommendations for preventive actions.
- Provide written safety "toolbox" topics and direction for safety team activities.
- Assist in written safety program development and training.
- Recommend safety improvements in machine guarding and work practices that may help reduce incidents.
- Occasionally accompany an injured employee to the clinic to help steer their case away from a recordable or lost-time injury when possible.
- Must be active, on-the-go, hands-on, and able to work in the heat.
- Some bi-lingual (Spanish) skills would be very desirable.
- Must have good computer skills: (email, presentations, word).
- May be on-call every fourth week-end. On call responsibilities would be to oversee first aid or take injured employees to the hospital. Also may provide drug testing (oral swab) for accidents resulting in injury or property damage. (On the average, a safety person would be required to come in to work on about one out of three on-call weekends.)

POSITION: Safety & Health Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Four (4) year degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science or other related discipline from an accredited college/university preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years recent safety-related experience in an industrial setting (preferably in power generation, refinery or chemical plant setting).

EHS Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining environmental records such as:
- ADEQ Air Permits
